Los Cerritos Elementary School

    Dear SSFUSD Community:

According to the most current Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s air alert, the northern CA wildfire in Butte County is continuing to cause unpredictable air quality levels throughout the Bay Area. As the fire has continued to be active with only partial containment, our unhealthy air quality levels have persisted throughout the week. As a result, our schools have been following our limited outdoor activity protocol since Friday, November 9th.

The health and welfare of our students and staff continues to be our top priority.

Due to the persisting air quality conditions, and out of an abundance of caution, we have determined that our schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, November 16th. (All students and school site staff)

While we are following the Air Quality Forecast, we will also be actively monitoring conditions in South San Francisco and all local areas of our schools. If conditions change, we will post an update and communicate with our schools to ensure our community remains informed.

    School eFlyers!

    eflyers-peachjar

    About Peachjar eflyers

In the past, our schools sent home loads of flyers in students’ backpacks. As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly and to embrace innovative technology, we have moved from paper to a digital flyer delivery.

With our Peachjar eflyer program, the eflyers will be sent directly to parents’ email inboxes as well as posted on school websites for easy access. All flyers may be accessed by clicking on the  peachjar logo.

Each year, our schools will save tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. In addition, paperless delivery of school flyers removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers.

School and school district-approved eflyers will keep you informed about upcoming school activities, programs, and events. And our children's backpacks will be a little bit lighter!
